My uncle called last night with 2 kittens for me to pick up. He is the one who used to drown them when they were born and didn't want them. I have been trying to get him to spay and neuter but so far he won't. Least I can do is take them instead of him drowning them. So anyways, I picked up two of the smelliest little kittens. One male and one female I am pretty sure. They are veery young. Their siblings were found with their necks eaten out and no mother to be found. They are healthy, happy kittens though. I bathed them, they smelled horrible and fed them. Off to the vet tomorrow. They are maybe 5 weeks old I am guessing.

When I went to pick them up he said I have something else for you too. He showed me a box with a maybe 3 week old kitten. Very tiny, but very alert and cleans itself, has teeth and everything. I am not good at guessing their ages, the vet will tell me tomorrow. It is the little cream colored one. His eyes were crusted shut really bad, not too much pus suprisingly. I was expecting when I pried that hunk of dried crap off the eyelids, for pus to come oozing out but no. He will go to the vet tomorrow also.

Next step is finding the older ones homes. I called someone looking for barn kittens and maybe they would like them when they get a little older. I will fix them first of course or work something out with the barn people. The little guy, I have a few options for so I will see. Here are some pictures since I know we all love to see those!!

Ok the vet put the little guy at 2 weeks old. I do not even need to bottle feed him! He eats like a pro right from the dish!! Every now and then he gets confused and tries to bite the side of the dish. He is a sweetheart though. Cleaned up his eyes, got him on Amoxi drops and Terramycin.

The other two are definately girls and 5 weeks old. They are healthy. Had them all wormed. The vet said they are too young to vaccinate.

Oh and just this evening I was sitting outside and a little black and white girl comes running up to me and I picked her up and she is either pregnant or recently had babies. She is really young, maybe 8 months. Didn't look like she was recently nursing. She looked lost and really thin though so I brought her into my bathroom... she ate two cans of wet kitten food.

I am a cat motel right now. If my landlord comes over I am screwed.

Here's an adorable, cleaned-up, updated picture of the babes and the beautiful 8 month old one I found last night.

Is it possible she has kittens hidden outside that need her?

Well I considered that. But she doesn't have a lot of milk, like it is drying up and her nipples do not look like she has been nursing recently. She also shows no interest in going back outside and when she first approached me, she didn't make any attempt to get away, so I don't know.
