Polly peed in the living room somewhere near the front door. The front door is near a corner. Acutally, she did it twice, once when I was not around and once when I was right there. There is a rug there, but our floors are wood. Since it's right by the front door, it's kind of embarrassing when people come over

I cleaned about a 4 x 4 foot area with nature's miracle and a rag, but it still stinks. So, I shined a black light around that area, and I can't see any urine but I can still smell it. I wonder if the urine has gotten underneath the wood maybe? Or between the crack between the door theshold and the floor?

If anyone has any tips, please share! My nose will thank you.

here is a link on how to remove smell, etc form hard wood floors:

I probably should've included that information in my first post instead of assuming that everyone was reading my other thread

Unfortunately, it's more serious than a regular UTI. Polly has been diagnosed with cystitis (in February, but symptoms started in late November). She's on amytriptyline, cosaquin and prescription food. But she's having another flare-up. Actually, this time she's gone 3 times out of the box! After the first time, I managed to suck up a few drops of urine from between the bathroom floor tiles for the vet. They didn't find anything, but vet asked for a better sample. So I got another sample using nosorb (I'm getting really experienced at getting urine samples). Vet saw signs of imflammation and Polly is on Clavamox for 2 weeks. Then we'll re-test her urine again. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that everything will be alright.

Thanks for the link and thanks for your concern about Polly. I've been worried sick about her ever since this started

Problem is, it's hard to clean it up because I can't see anything even with the blacklight, so I can't figure out exactly where the smell is coming from. That's why I thought maybe it was coming from under the floor boards.....
