Hi, Just a quick question.

According to the vet boo is due any day now. I have been seeing and feeling the babies moving for a while now. almost 2 weeks. She has been spending a lot of time in my room asleep and has been calling me during the night for attention.

Yesterday I was stroking her tummy and I gave her nipple a little squeeze I was rewarded with a little creamy white milky looking stuff. Does this mean her milk has come in and if so how long before the birth does this usually happen.

Thanks, Emma x

There are no stupid questions ... but, so I'm told, it seems that stupid people abound. *LOL* (Disclaimer: I am NOT referring to anyone here!!! I've said it before, I'll say it again ... You people are the best ever, anywhere, hands down.)

The Pregnant Cats and Kitten Care Forum here at TCS was born just for questions. So ask whatever you want, whenever you want. Do not feel stupid about it. I am certain you are an extremely intelligent person who simply has never had a reason to know the answer to some of these questions.

It is rare for a human to be able to manipulate a queen to produce milk. But, as we all know, cats are an enigma and even those of us who have shared our hearts and homes with cats over a lifetime, there are still those times when we learn something new about them.

If you can plainly see milk production, then you are probably very, very close to delivery. Have you read the article about what to expect and how to prepare for it yet? If not, take a moment and read through ... it might help you some:

Have you gotten Boo all nice and settled into a nesting place? Has she been exploring it and rearranging the materials in it yet?

Hi,

Thanks for that. I will try not to be so paranoid in future lol

I read the article you suggested and it was great. I have Boo all set up in my room. It really is the only room she will be able to have some space and quiet. the kittens wont be able to hide under anything or get into anything harmful. I have got her a nesting box set up with some of the ideas suggested on here. The pillow case idea was great.

She has been having a look in her box but not much more than that. She seems to like to pull the carpet next to my bed and she has slept there solid for the last 2 days and nights so I have just moved her box there as it seems to be her favourite spot. When I just left her she was rubbing herself up and down it. I'm hoping this is a good sign that she will settle there.

I am definately getting a watery creamy liquid from her nipples. Only a spot but it sure is there.

Thanx for the help, Emma x

That one was bars too. I just boarded the inside ( well hubby did!) and the base with some hardboard and chopped the legs off. It was very inexpensive.

I just thought with the cot the kittens wouldnt be able to get anywhere to harm themselves and it would stop the kids being able to get to them.

This is all sooooo exciting isnt it.....lol

You and Boots had anymore signs today ??
