I noticed tonight that one of my cats has a little problem with one of his eyes. He keeps it slightly closed all the time, and it looks a bit swollen (not badly), it's pretty red, looks very slightly cloudy, and I remember the last few days I noticed he had some crusty, greenish discharge around his eye that I wiped off for him. He's not tearing at all. You can't even really tell it's not normal until he looks up. The other eye is perfectly clear and fine, and he is acting normally.

He's a 3.5 year old Snowshoe male (so he has light blue eyes, if that makes any difference), inside only, and he does have a little immunodeficiency problem (the vet doesn't know exactly what it is, but he had severe gingivitis forever until he lasered it off, but it's not FIV or anything), but other than that he's just fat.

If it looks like this tomorrow I'm taking him in to the vet but I was just curious what you guys think it might be because I'm worried about him. Thanks..

think you got it first time, sounds like an infection to me, make sure you get him to the vet though antibiotics may be in order

Thanks guys, I took him up this afternoon and it turns out it was conjunctivitis (eye infection). He got some antibiotic gel stuff for his eye, so that should be fun tonight.
