Hey guys...a question for you...

Can a dietary change help in cats that have had urinary tract infections? Does a cat that's had one do better if their diet is changed?

If so, what kind of diet helps with that?

Thanks!

Yes cats with cronic UTI are better off with a diet specific to their needs. However I suggest that is something you should discuss with your VET.

Yes it can ... first I would recommend canned,,,, if they require dry Purina and Nutro have some certified formulas for such issues... I would use the certified over non certified claims ... the reason is that extensive testing the certified foods went thru in order to say that is sorta a gaurentee that it does what it says... I hope I make a lik of sence

Yes talk to the vet but I would imagine if serious issue s the vet would have already talked to you..

Oh, lol, I failed to mention that this is for a friend...she took her kitty in at one point for inappropriate peeing and found that it was due to a UTI, and I've written to ask her if the vet gave her any sort of a dietary change. If not, I wanted to be able to provide her some information that might help.

Thank you for your information! I'll let her know.
