As I sit here and listen to Sir Elton John, I reminisce about seeing him in concert last year
And just had to ask-how many of you have been to a concert, and if so who was it?? and as well, have ya ever met any one famous?? I have been to several country concerts which inbclude: Brooks and Dunn, Clint Black, Lonestar, Tracy Lawrence and Elton John, and he was SUPER!!!
I got to sit on the tour bus with Lonestar when I went to their concert(some friends and I somehow lucked out) that was an awesome experience!!
Anyone else got the pleasure of hanging out with a famous person? Please do tell!!

I have no idea how many concerts I've attended. The last one was Bon Jovi. One of the most memorable was an Aerosmith concert over a decade ago, because I got to meet the band. A student at the time worked "backstage" at the venue, and got tickets and passes for his mom and me. His mom really wanted to go, but wanted somebody her own age to go, too, so he asked me if I'd be interested. Of course! The "Toxic Twins" didn't seem too toxic.

I'm just going to go over the big one's first. All the local bands will be left out. I've gone to: George Clinton, Rusted Root, Tori Amos (four times), Lilith Fair (twice), Ben Harpor, Social Distortion (three times), Pearl Jam, Jane's Addiction, Ministry, Nine Inch Nails, Sonic Youth, Besty Boys, Neil Diamond (twice), Radio Head and Jorney. That's all that I can think of right now. Before I met my husband I used to work odd jobs and pay for concert tickets.

You could say that I met Radiohead. We were invited back stage to meet them. If anyone would like to know the rest of that story PM me.

A few years ago, I used to go to concerts all the time.

Some of the best ones I saw were Radiohead, Massive Attack, Asian Dub Foundation... there are probably some more I forgot.

About a week ago, Radiohead was in town again but I couldn't afford a ticket

I should really try to go to more concerts... unfortunately, most of the bands I listen to these days don't exist anymore.

Too many to count.

AC/DC -I met a lady while standing in line for tickets.
Turned out she was a member of their road crew.
I spent the following evening drinking beers on their tour bus with her and meeting most of the road crew, was also tipped off to where the band was staying and managed to catch Angus Young coming out of the elevator.
Nothing like sweaty rock star hugs

I've seen Korn, Three Days Grace (twice), Nickelback, Simple Plan (twice), American Hi-Fi, Treble Charger, Goldfinger, Good Charlotte, Christina Aguilera, The Moffatts....back when I was like 13, but I saw them like 15 times. A bunch of bands that arent really famous opening up for other bands. I went to the Juno awards a couple of times and saw a bunch of bands perform but the only one I can really remember is Our Lady Peace. Adam Gregory came to the little town my parents live in one year and I saw a bit of his concert. I've seen more but I can't remember right now.

I have met a lot of bands. Treble Charger, The Moffatts, Simple Plan, one of the guys from Korn gave me a bag of spicy doritos. The bass player for goldfinger pulled me out of the crowd onto the stage because I was getting squished. He stopped playing part way through a song to pull me out. I still have bruises from that, and that was a few years ago. I met the singer from Sum 41 when he picked up the singer from Treble Charger at their concert. I met Adam Gregory at the Juno Awards, but not when he was here. I met a bunch of other bands at the Juno's but I don't really remember them all now.
