Sammy has been sneezing. There is no trace of a URI or anything - he's fine - great appetite, energy, steady/happy moods, clear eyes, no fluids, cool dry nose, but I've been stumped as to all this sneezing! It started Monday. We've had a week of rain and really damp weather and June is a high mold month here. Sasha
had similar allergies in June when he was a kitten and then he grew out of it as the years progressed....however, Sammy is 8. Sandy, our puppy girl, has been inside a lot this week because of the downpours, but she also hasn't had a bath in a long time - Eric has been somewhat remiss in the canine department due to the new job and working long hours.

I've noticed that Sammy loves to sit in Sandy's places...on her red blanket, on the bed right after she has been there....and in the family room which is really where Sandy hangs out the most. Could Sammy's system not be familiar with her dander or all the gunk she tracks in from outside? He is inside only. Could an inside cat be "allergic" to an outside dog? He doesn't seems to sneeze in other rooms of the house she is rarely in.....

Just a thought, dogs don't clean themselves like cats...............So very well could be. Cats are even known to groom fleas off themselves............My kitty pandora had to have a humidifier in the winter or she would get scaby skin, so they definitely have allergies often similar to us. My friends poor kitty was allergic to shell seafood! Thats just not right for a cat!

That's very interesting, thanks! I was just reading the other thread on mysterious sneezing..... seems to be somewhat common....
I did wash Sandy's blankets, and she had a good scrub in the bath. Also, it got sunny a bit and I will say that it has subsided just a bit. It seems to affect him when he wakes up - like a sinus issue - and when he is near the dog. Still clear eyes, no fluids anywhere in his membranes and everything else is really good. -?
