In our quests to keep our pets active and stimulated while they share our living quarters, we tend to burn through quite a few toys.

Some are soaring successes, keeping our pets entralled from the moment they come out of the packaging/off of our craft tables.

Some are giant flops, gaining only a bewildered look and a halfhearted slap or two before being plunged into the deepest depths of storage, never to return. (worst case being scaring our pets into having a disastrous accident right where they stand)

What are your cats' favorite toys, and what is the personality of the cats who love them?

My #1 vote is the lazer...Reilly is a very, active curious cat, and all I have to do is grab ahold of it and he's nattering already!

Pudge's favorite toy(s): Anything quiet/with a mild sound on the end of a string (or just a string), usually a fuzzy mouse. Her favorite toy right now is the Cats Claws Feline flyer.

It is a pair of feathers on a cord (attached to a wand) which twirl around each other and make a flapping noise when waved through the air. She is very much addicted to it, and complains when I put it down.

She is a fairly active cat, and will let me know that it is playtime by zooming back and forth through the house, then sitting near to me and trilling. She repeats this until I follow her to the livingroom and get her favorite toy out. She sleeps as hard as she plays, though.

Jamie, who fancies himself a great hunter and enjoys interactive play, prefers the fishing pole type of toy, preferably with a furry mouse at the end, rather than a cloth toy. His very favorite nowadays is "Da Bird". He does enjoy a laser pointer, though, or a rubber ball that really bounces.

Abby is a quiet, skittish girl, who has the crazies a few times a day. She loves milk jug rings and the panic mouse. I am also her playmate and she mews at me to chase her around the house

Anything with feathers, fishing pole toys usually - they have decided lately that they love da bird but ran away from it before

The other favourite is pulling meowmy's hair elastics off the dresser (or off my hair) and playing with those

Anything made of mylar and feathers would be good for them.

I usually buy them a month after Christmas when the gift stockings become 75% off. It's when the toys are the cheapest. There are many dozens of little things everywhere.
