Hi all,

I was curious to know what might be the strangest people food item that your cat likes? I discovered that one of my cats likes green olives! Isn't that odd?!! I discovered it because one day I had made myself a salad. There were olives on top. I went to the sink to wash my hands and when I turned around, Ansel was on the table licking the olives in my salad. I thought it was a pretty strong flavored food for a cat to like.

Harley usually doesn't eat human food too often, never really interested - but he likes to like the cheese off of cheetos, or take a lick or two of milk from my glass or bowl of cereal. He usually takes 1 lick of milk or 2, and then he's done - he'll never drink more than that. Just a taste!

Coffee!!!! One day my mom had left her cup of coffe on the counter-she likes it cold, EW, and our cat Big Boy jumped up and started drinking it like it was the best thing ever! I shooed him away when I caught him, I highly doubt that coffe is good for them!!!

Reba loves popcorn and Codi loves to eat potato chips. We think it's because of the salt, but it's just weird to us... and they let us know to give it to them too. If Reba hear's popcorn being made, you better NOT leave her out of it LOL

Stinky likes bacon and cheese, and Lu doesn't usually eat much people food, but she has tasted a little bit of Coke when I had a glass.

Wonton loves beef jerky-but only the expensive kind thats like, 8 dollars a bag. he turns his nose up at the cheap stuff.

he's also been known to eat dried squid-you know the kind that comes in a little package for snacking.

other than that he generally doesn't like people-food. he doesnt even like wet food that much, but i know its not good to feed a male cat all dry food, so he gets wet in the morning and dry at night (lets be honest, he gets dry throughout the day, whenever he goes to his dish and looks at me with "feed me im STARVING to death mommy!" eyes).

Sarah, however, a cat i used to take care of, loved people food, particularly vanilla pudding and potato chips.

Yesterday I caught Wellington slurping up orange sauce that I had made to go with duck. Mind you there was duck stock in it, but I would have thought the orange and sugar in it would have put him off!

I have to be very careful if I have a glass of wine, and so I keep it in my hand until I'm done and then rinse out the glass. I caught her about to drink it once and I thought she just wanted to lick the sweat off the outside (does anyone else's cat like the water on the outside of a cool drink better than any other water?) so I let her and then she tried to drink the wine...

She also likes broccoli, chips, fries, anything dairy of course, but the strangest hmm? Lemon yogurt, maybe. She's never allowed much of anything, but my vet said as long as it's not more than 5% of her diet it doesn't much matter, she doesn't even get that much though!

She loves spinach as much as I do. And toothpaste, she actually chews on toothbrushes for the taste. Pancake syrup, strawberries, pears, apples, etc. And tomato sauce, like on pizza or pasta.

I thought cats didn't have a taste for sugar?
