I know cats tend to slow down w/age but I was wondering if it's normal for a 1 yr old cat to become a lazy lump?
Now don't get me wrong, I love that she's not racing around so often like a maniac and she doesn't just stay in one spot all day but I recall upon first getting her her how active she was until her poochie pouch dropped and she started puttin on the weight a lil. I just thought I wouldn't be seeing thoes lazy days until she was around 2.
Should be concerned that her poochie pouch slowing her down?
It's quite unsightly seeing it sway all over the place when she runs.

Play with her--get her some exercise!

If she seems to be withdrawing as well as sleeping a lot, or in a "bad mood", or not eating; then there might be a physical problem and you should see the vet.

But if she is just lazy, chances are she has simply grown out of her crazy kitten stage and you will have to induce her to play so that she will stay healthy and in shape.

I guess she's outta of the kitten stage.
So now I must invest in more feathery toys and paper ball.
