A "cobby" body is one that is more "square" looking, or like a box. Shorter legs, tail, neck and round head. Think of a persian. The length of the body should about equal the height to the shoulders to form a square/short/cobby body.

Now compare that to a siamese type cat. A siames has a long body, tubular, with long slender legs, whippy long tail and longer neck. More "elegant" looking.

What we are saying is that Kinsey appears to be more of a persian/himalayan type of body compared to a long slendar siamese type. The person she got the kitten from might have a pet quality balinese or siamese and the father might be a pet quality himalayan but the kitten appears to look more like a himalayan then a siamese/balinese.

While Kinsey's mom said its not like a "show" persian, it would be closer to that build even if its not extremely short or cobby. IMO its certainly far from being a siamese/balinese type of kitten.

Also, she does get the brown eye crusties, like i have heard pursian/himilayans get but she can't retract her claws all the way, like a siamese (or so I've heard). And i wish you guys could see her wet, lol. Her neck and head are so little and scrawny and the ears!!!! they are like rabbit ears, lol! Do these traits mean anything? The cat they claimed to be the mom really looked siamese and the dad was pointed but as far as "body style" he looked all mixed up. lol.

I'm a Persian breeder and she definitly looks more Persian than Balinese to me.

I'm quite a fan of Balinese and I met a lovely Choc Pt on Sunday. They are quite rare in NZ.

You can never gaurentee with backyard breeders. It sounds like that is what they are huh? I can't remember from your other posts. But if you don't know and they didn't give you a straight answer and they call themselves breeders, then who knows.

She is beautiful though. My first thought too was a Himalayan mix.

Well, they just shouldnt be breeding, that's all I know. I still love her, though. They were gonna keep her and breed her but I basically forced them to let me take her and we are getting spayed as soon as my vet will do it! (well not WE. More like HER). lol
