I feed both dry and canned to my kitties. But I've noticed in the passed month or so that both Cleo and Josie have turned their noses up at the canned and only eat the kibble. I don't know how many cans of food I've wasted!

I've fed them several different brands....Innova (which they eventually stopped eating), NB, Eagle Pack. I also used Merricks, Avoderm (they didn't like at all), Fosters and Smith, Nutro, Nutro pouches. Nutro Max and Authority Chicken chunks are the brands I've had the most success with. Now they are just turning their noses up at it all.

But I did stick a can of Fancy Feast down one day and they went for that!! I've never given them a steady of diet of FF!....only on a rare occassion or to sneak they're medicine in. I don't want to resort to that. But they're turning their noses up at higher quality foods!
I've even tried taking away most of the kibble at night and leaving the canned food. They still won't touch the canned food. Josie will wake me up in the morning begging for her kibble. (she always did seem to prefer dry over the wet.
)

This is really frustrating. I already see a difference in their coats. I want them to eat canned food more....and of a better quality, but they're being very finicky!

Has anyone dealt with this problem before?? Any suggestions??

Well I don't know why you're kitties are turning their noses up at the wet food, but have you tried the Meow Mix pouched? the first ingredient is real meat, not by-products, and it isn't that expensive. It might be worth a try!

Maybe you should also upgrade your dry - if you saw that much of a difference in their coats . What kibble are you feeding?

Also you might want to invest in a pet fountain if you don't have one already to encourage water intake if they are not that interested in wet food!

Shenandoah only liked FF. He is doing better though.

He will eat some of the Nutro and some of the Merricks but I have to put mainly FF in it.

I have tried these in the past....not too often. They did eat most of it. Might have to try these again.

I feed them a mixture of Innova and Felidae. At least their kibble is of good quality. The outside feral kitty that I feed gets Purina One. Cleo perks up when I go to feed him, so I know which kibble she'd prefer if she had a choice!
I try to feed them fine dining and they prefer McDonlds! Go figure.

Maybe this will work.....except I'll try the other way around, with just a little of the FF in it.
