My cat has been vomiting alot in the past week or so, and it's usually always the food. Can it be the food that makes him vomit or is it something else?

Not sure what you mean by "a lot," but it could be any number of things. He could be eating too fast and/or too much, he could be trying to bring up a hairball, or he could be sick. I would suggest calling your vet for a chat--describe how many times a day he's been vomiting, when it usually happens (right after he eats or randomly or whatever), how long it's been going on, what's in the stuff he sicks up, and any other symptoms he might be exhibiting. Based on this info, the vet might be able to give you a clue.

Please get him to a DR, I didn't and it was too late. I am not trying to scare you but I think it is worth taking him. Good luck

migle:

By a lot do you mean... large quantities, or he vomits often? Does he vomit all of his meals, or between meals, or just occasionally his meals.

What are you feeding him? Do you feed more then one brand, do you offer a lot of treats? Have you recently switched foods? Does he eat very quickly (finishes his whole meal in less then 3 minutes typically?)

Please do make an appointment with your doctor, having a lot of persistent vomiting can be caused by MANY things, not just the food.
