Hi,

I need advice on a product called Feliway.

Does anyone have experience with its use, how do you use it?

Also what are some good books on cat behavior

I'm thinking about buying one located at http://problemcatbehaviors.com

Any experiences with feliway would be great.

Thanks,

Crystal

Try doing a search on the forum. There are a TON of posts about it, a couple just from the past few days.

I will tell you that I HIGHLY recommend it. It can work miracles.

This site has it for a good price. It is fairly expensive.

Hi there,
I'm one of the ones that posted about it yesterday....let me tell you it is a miracle! I'm not having problems with my cat urinating (thank god) but he's just a very stressed little boy at the moment and won't come downstairs with the rest of us. So, I purchased the feliway difuser (looks like a plug-in air freshner) and so far he's gravitaed to where they are plugged in! So it must be calming him....I'm hoping in a few days he'll actually venture down the stairs! The feliway products are on sale at PetsMart right now - difuser and the spray. There are websites explaining exactly how this product works (and they explain it much better than I!). I truly feel the cost was worth it. They certainly aren't cheap, it was $32 for the difuser and feliway (the bottle you attached to it). I hope it's as successful for you!

Feliway is great stuff. It works miracles with cats and especially with their stress. You can get it online, but we get it through our vet.

that's so great Karen! I'm really glad that you're already having success with it

Thanks for the heads up! I have a feeling that I'm going to be buying a lot of Feliway! So far he's really reacting in a positive way to this! He's actually venturing downstairs now and just seems so much more relaxed! It's absolutely increditable stuff. I'm going to get some of the spray for his pet carrier for when I have to take him to the vets.

That stuff sounds great. What do people think is the best method of using it? the spray or the diffuser? I'm thinking about getting some to help with the introduction of my cat to my new roommates cat, sounds like it might really help. Is the above link the best website as far as cost and product? thanks for any info people might have

I plan on buying the spray but it's the difusers that I got the other day...they are great when you need to control a "large area"...the spray is great for treating "spot" areas...like if they are marking with urine, or to spray in carriers before a vet visit or if they use a perch or kitty bed it's good for those types of things....

And the website above has EXCELLENT prices on it! It's cheaper than on sale at PetsMart!
