The Poles can go home, and Germany has made it into the next round - Germany just beat them 1:0 during overtime. All **** is breaking out here. Tomorrow is a holiday, so I imagine the celebrating will continue for a few more hours. With an estimated 30,000+ disappointed Polish fans in Dortmund, hopefully there won't be trouble there. Polish hooligans are just about as notorious as British and German ones.

I just realized that fwan inadvertently used WM (Weltmeisterschaft) in her thread, which probably doesn't say much to members who don't speak German. Are you following the games?

Ive been watching the world cup and seen most of the matches. I am supporting England. Today i watched the Tunisia v Saudia Arabia match, I have never been so bored in my life, and to be honest probably could have took both teams on, and scored!!
Even though I am a woman, I like football, its what you get when your brother and father are footie mad!! But do they really have to change the times of my favourite programmes to fit the matches in,
. Good luck to who ever you support, as long as it not Brazil or Argentina
.

Here there are three channels showing just football/soccer, on alternating afternoons/evenings. The games are broadcast at 3, 6, and 9 p.m. CET, with analyses and news broadcasts in between. It's currently almost quarter after one in the morning here, and with all the honking horns and shouts/songs, it'll be another half hour or so before I'll be able to get to bed.

According to my husband... the zoo
We have been watching when we can. My husband is a soccer coach (has been for 22 years).

I felt a little bad for Poland today - to get scored on in the last minutes. I couldn't believe when I heard the announcer say they haven't won against Germany in 85 years! Wow - that's some record.

The cats house, we just pay the mortgage..
I haven't watched every match but most of them
England are playing today against Trinidad and Tobago and I'll have my eyes glued to the TV. They have all the matches on in my gym so I usually manage to catch the evening ones while Im in there. I don't usually take the time to watch football but when there is something like this going on I just get addicted.
It was funny watching England on Saturday in the gym because everyone was rooting for them to lose except for me being just about the only English person in my gym haha.

I have watched nearly every match, i see people all dressed up!
I am dressing up on sunday and watching the big screen along the river!

The only bad thing about it is that my dad has invaded my room to watch the football because my tv is the only one that shows it!

Its only untill the 9th of July!

and guess who's got a hair appt booked for 5.30pm today?
I can't cancel it as my hair is beyond overdue for a cut and some colour so I'm going to record the england match, drive home with my eyes closed and then watch it right the way through

The pubs will be packed! Mark and his mates were in Newcastle last weekend for a stag do and because England won on Sat it was heaving. Some bouncer said he wouldn't let them into the club unless they said the love England (they were ALL Scottish)

Find out what pubs and clubs he was at Lauren?!
They were in Blue bamboo on friday which they are all now saying with a geordie accent
and Tiger Tiger on Saturday. Not sure what pubs they went to though. Or the name of the hotel for that matter but I think it was pretty close to the town or, sorry, the 'Toon'

They went paintballing on Saturday too, Mark is covered in bruises. I text him on their way back on Sunday and told him to go and see you haha.
