Our new Kitty introduction, video link inside!

I'm new here but I've had a warm welcome to this forum. A lot of people have seen my "Bart Video" and I wanted to give you something on a happier note!

We got Chloe about a week after Bart died, and Jack came (from Australia) about 5 weeks later. We were originally planning to get littermates to insure they would get along, but it wasn't possible. We took our introductions slowly and didn't let them see eachother for 3 days.

Since a picture is worth a thousand words, I'd like to offer up this little video of their first 4 days together. I think by Round 4 (Day 4) we're doing pretty well!

Great video, and they're just adorable in Round 4.

Cool video. The boxing really looked like they were playing to me. I don't know if there was any sound, because my speakers are broken, so I don't know if there was growling, but without sound they looked like they were playing.

What breed of cat are they? They look alike to me.

The kittens are Somalis. Chloe is a "Red" and Jack is a "Ruddy" I always thought a Ruddy Somali would look pretty cool with a Bengal! They'd look like a mountain lion and a tiger!

There is sound, a "ring announcer" introduces the combatants, and yes, there was some growling and some squeeling (but not on the video, I used a music bed instead) when the play got too rough. It was mostly play, but a bit on the rough side as they worked out who was going to be top cat.

I thought they might be. At first I thought they were Aby's, but I saw the longer hair and I know Somali's are like long haired Aby's. I've always wanted an Aby or a Somali. Your babies are very beautiful. So was Bart.

Yeah, those tails are something huh? We were amazed how long they were when we got Chloe. They will surely "fluff" up more as they get older, this is Jack's mom:

Ah, Chloe and Jack are so adorable together, and they have so much fun together! This really made me smile, thank you for sharing these wonderful moments with us!

Day 1 looked a little aggressive in the playing - like you said, trying to work out top cat status, but by day 4 you cal tell they're happy to hang out together!! I love them cuddled up cleaning each other as well - very cute!

Yeah, about 1 minute later, it turned into a wrestling session on my keyboard, but it was cute while it lasted......

I didn't think the song was "dated." It's a classic Rocky (II, III, I can't remember -- lol) song.

Their so sweet! My two wrestle like that as well but as soon as i hear one of them let out a squeek when one of them bites too hard i say " Thats enough!! "

I'm glad that you posted that, because my boys have been doing the same thing. It's good to know that someone else is going through the same crashing, growling, and hissing noises that I am.
