Hi. I 've been caring for a feral colony for about a year. Have managed to TNR 3 of the 4. After a year they all trust me and I can actually pet them. Over the past two weeks, a strange cat has been showing up to eat. I try to feed him away from the others, but the unneutered male is very aggressive and yowls at him if he comes anywhere near the colony's "turf". Is there any way I can get these guys to get along? Will they "work it out" eventually, or will my colony never accept this poor, starving stranger?
Thanks!

Hey Golffox.....it's hard to say....it's normal for a feral cat colony to be territorial and send off strangers. Once the intact male is fixed or the stranger is fixed, you may see the colony accepting him. I would wait to hear back from other caretakers regarding their experiences. You can also post about it here:

There are lots of feral caretakers at that site.

Is this new male neutered or is he whole?

If he is whole the conflict will probably exist. Neutered are usually accepted a lot easier.
Neutered and not welcomed? Oh may. Perhaps with time...

Try to pet them, and after that pet the new one, so their scent will be on him. Or if you find some hairs of theirs, set them on him...
