Are you all going to watch??
I might watch it once to see what it's all about.

I wonder if they've all been tested for fiv and felv? I wonder if peta will protest it?

Oh well, it's helping a few cats get to their forever homes from the shelter, so I can't say it's a bad thing. I probably won't watch it though, I'd rather play with my own cat!

I would give it a try. I am for anything that promotes cat adoption into loving homes.

I'm going to watch it.Anyone know when it will be on tv? I'm sure all the cats have had a complete check up and are in excellant health.

I'll probably watch it, at least once to see what it's about.

The Maine Coon in the top corner, doesn't look like a Maine Coon to me though.

I'll most likely watch it! The kitties might enjoy it too

It starts Friday night the 16th.

It'll probably be more interesting than a lot of those reality shows out there. I've bookmarked the site, and will probably check it out a few times. If it leads to adoptions, why not have a show like that?

I will definately pop in on the cats and take a look on the discovery channel. I want to see if they are doing anything. I actually went to the website and read all thier bios and voted for my favorite. It is very cute and apparently a good idea because they got at least one cat lover to donate to one of the shelters they profiled. Touched by an Animal had me in tears. They help seniors take care of their pets so they can keep their companion animals as long as they can really struck a chord in me. One of my greatest fears is that I would be unable to have a furry friend. I donated to them so they can keep on helping.

I am not expecting much action from the show cats tend to sleep alot.

Thats what I'm curious about! How is this getting pulled off? If the cats haven't lived together for long usually they don't like each other so well....now if they are kittens then that could get interesting.

I'd love to watch but will miss the first episode!

I did an article on it for a local paper and I am all for it. If it calls attention to the plight of all the cats sitting in shelters waiting to be adopted, then go for it! The famililes are pre-screened and waiting in the wings to adopt the cat "voted out."

I just got back from taking the new fosters back to the shelter for a check-up. There was a beautiful flamepoint 3 year old with blue eyes that had just been surrendered as a stray. To say he was gorgeous is an understatement! Every time I walked by his cage, he reached his lovely orange paw out to tap me on the arm and beg me to pet him and to rescue him. I wish I could, but I am full up-

The cats are flown to the house ahead of time for a quick introduction with cat behaviorists in attendance. Someone is monitoring the movement all the time, and I suspect several comfort zone room diffusers are on the job 24/7. The objective is to save these cats, not place them in danger.

The Oxygen channel just picked this up and will air it every friday night-

I would love to watch a couple of episodes, but I don't like reality TV in general.

They say the best cat would be adopted out. I have a feeling that all of the cats would adopt out. People just LOOOOVE to adopt cats on TV.

P.S. They better have a couple of black cats.

The article says all the cats will be adopted as they are voted out, and M.A. just posted that pre-screened families are waiting. No black cats; you can view the cats here: http://www.meowmixhouse.com/bios.cfm

Hopefully next season, then.

It's on Animal Planet anywhere from 9 - 9:30 pm where I live. I saw the first episode and it was just a general introduction. I hope that the "episodes" get more interesting. It's shown in an advertising slot (no surprise) and is only a few minutes long.

It's a great idea, but the poor things should be eating better food than Meow Mix.

I voted for Zen.

Meow Mix is better than nothing

Their kitten food is actually pretty decent.

Is it? That's good to know.... I tried out their new "Market Selects" or something like that, and I know that my kitties love it. Only as a treat, of course...
