Is anyone here close to the Greenleaf Park in OK?

We are trying to rescue a cat out of the Greenleaf state Park in Oklahoma. She was dumped there a couple of weeks ago A member of a different forum vacationed there and befriended the cat, but couldnt take her with her because they were going to be traveling all over the states the rest of their trip. She posted how hard it was to leave the kitty there and had taken some pictures of her. Another member saw this and really wants the cats. We have gathered some funds for gas, a nights stay at the cabins, and a few other expenses for anyone willing to go and get her. Think of it as a mini-vacation without costing very much! The parks people say she is still there yet, but she will be losing her health quickly from lack of food. If anyone is interested please post here!

I live a little less than 150 miles from there, but because I have two small children and a new litter of kittens to care for, a trip down there is not feasible, but I do have someone in mind who might not mind making the trip. Let me ask her tomorrow and get back to you (unless you find someone else willing to go.)

It makes my blood boil when someone just dumps their pets off someplace! Dont they know that after cats have been fed all their life, they arent going to do well out on their own Do these people ever wonder if their pet is scared, or suffering, or wondering where they are....if they are ever coming back.....how can these people ever get a good night sleep after they do this!

I know...they dont think twice about their pet that they just kicked out of the car.... and they never look back to see the poor thing standing in the road looking at them as they drive away.....

There sould be a place for these special people with no heart....they should have to live in the minds of the pets they just threw away!

I'm happy to say, the little cat in the park that was neglected and dumped in the park has been rescued. She is also pregnant, which means not only was she saved, but her unborn kittens were saved also. A very special cat lover drove 8 hours to get her. It's a very happy time for everyone involved!
