Ok both my females I am trying to keep indoors till I can get them fixxed. I do not want them getting pregnant, and they have already escaped some. Now here is my problem...

I am having trouble getting them to use the litter box, infact one pooed on my COUCH!!! Now I took it and put it in the litter box and kinda covered it and showed her hoping she would get the idea but it is a lonely poo in there lol. Any suggestions??

How old are they? I'd confine them to a bathroom with the pan till they get the idea. Better to clean a bathroom floor for accidents then a bed/couch/carpet!

I would do that but they have babies to take care of. And they about a year old and have been outdoor cats since birth.

I'd still confine them to one room with the babies. I've brought my outside cats in with their kittens at 5-6 weeks of age. Both adult and babies will use the pan even tho the adults were outside 95% of their life (most of them had been inside kittens for a few weeks before putting them back outside (as barn cats).

always keep the litter tray in the same place for one, and what i find better than bought cat litter is to put some soil in there from the garden or wherever
and put a poop in there its all about association and smells
these bundles of fun come preprogrammed with instincts!
