kitten not doing well

I have a 8 week old kitten that I just took to the vet and they said she probably has a small esophagus and that is why everytime she eats it comes right back up. She weighs .9 lbs and he said that was really small for her age. The first week we had her we gave her can food and everytime we would feed her she would eat it so fast then throw up just a small amount everytime she ate. Then the last few dyas its like we can't keep anything down her. Has anyone ever had this surgery done on a kitten. I want to help her, but all I have heard is that this surgery is $100's-$1000's to get done. I can't afford that. I'm so upset knowing that she could die from this, but does anyone either know prices or know of a way to help her w/o the surgery?

Talk to your local Humaine Society. Sometimes they are able to offer some sort of financial help. I was able to get help with getting my cat neutered.
