One of my fosters Ernie (who is staying with a friend of mine since he's not big on other cats), has a small lump behind his front shoulder blade. It appears to be beneath the skin, but above the muscle. It's about the size of a small marble. You can move the lump around a little and it doesn't seem to cause Ernie any discomfort now, though when my friend first noticed it, it seemed tender (about 2 weeks ago).

Any ideas what this could be? It's no where near the site of his vaccinations or anything like that.

thanks for the help...

He was just vaccinated, but this is nowhere near his vaccination site (vaccination site was on his rump, lump is behind his front leg.

That's what I was thinking. I'll be talking with the rescue director tomorrow, and ask her then if it's possible to get him in. I was just looking for ideas of what it could be. Ernie is only a year old.

tks
