Lost a special cat....

I just wanted to get this off my chest. I'm not really a cat lover when I had my other current cat, his name is Shadow. Until this other cat came along, a kitten, and as a family, we decided to name him Casper. I had two cats. Long story short, this morning, my nephew knocked on my door and hearing those words which I'd never wanna hear, Casper died uncle...I just.....lost it after. Having it for about a year, seeing it grow, it can really effected me. That cat, he was special to me, the moment I laid my eyes on it when my lil brother brought him over, I loved him immediately. He would listen to me as I look directly to him in the eye, he'd stay still until I put him back down, whereas my other cat, he wouldn't even listen. I'd never see the day until I face reality, ........he's gone. The way he'd get his attention would be really cute, ....and I'll miss that, the way he'd scratch my bedroom door at night to see what I was doing, .....I'll miss that. He was something. Now, the house will be different, .....I'll never look at cats the same way again, Casper has really really touched my heart, we had a bond, a relationship....a connection. Now.....I can see how painful it is to lose a pet, a pet whom that I've loved so much that I've never loved before, come from work and go home and hug him when there's a chance I'd see him........he's up in heaven now........He was the youngest one from my other cat, the last one to come in the family.....the first one to leave.....

This is so tragic! I'm incredibly sorry you lost your precious little one. Casper is such a special little boy and will be forever cherished and terribly missed. This must be so painful for you. May God give you strength during this difficult time of mourning. Solemnly, with respect for precious Casper, let's move this thread to the Bridge where his life will be honored as we share your grief.

Thank you for linking us to Casper's photos. Wow, he's such a beautiful boy with so much personality in his face and demeanor! I really adore the ones of him on his back looking up at your with his little paws curled up! This has absolutely brought me to tears. Bless you.

Thank you.....thank for your support, it really means it, ....I just wish I could've done anything better, we're trying to figure out how he died....

Oh good grief what a handsome boy Casper is , He's certainly going to have the felines follow him over the bridge thats for sure!

I am so sorry for your loss. Just rest assured knowing that Casper is having fun now playing over the bridge with all the other kitties there. He is in no pain now, and will be watching over you and your family.
