There is this great web site call Planet Feedback and the whole idea of the site is for consumers to write to companies or stores about their ideas, their compliments and complaints. You can also view other letters people have sent to companies.
I've written to a few places and got good feedback from all except one(Fingerhut... What else would you expect?) and in one case I wrote a letter to a local food store about how they need different sized packages of meat and now they package them smaller. Whether it was my letter or not it felt good to voice my opinion as a consumer.
