Ok-so I really wasnt sure where to post this, or even if I should......this is just horrible and cruel!! Why in the world would anyone want to do this???? And of course, it was a FREE to good home ad

OMG! I think I am going to be sick, and I did not even watch the video. I truly hope their is a special place in hell for people that do such things. May they spend eternity being poked with sticks and being chewed on by angry pit bulls!

There is a special place in hell for people like that! In the pictures (the slideshow just shows the coming out of court, no images of the dog or poor cat) they are smiling, like it's no big deal. I hope the judge throws the book at them!

Since they don't say what they are actually facing, I have to assume they are charged with this form of animal cruelty:

It is a Misdemeanor in the first degree if a person: “Kills, maims, mutilates, tortures or disfigures any dog or cat, whether belonging to himself or otherwise; or administers poison to or exposes any poisonous substance with the intent to administer such poison to any dog or cat, whether belonging to himself or otherwise” This is punishable by a fine of not less than $1,000 and/or imprisonment for up to 2 years. A subsequent conviction is a Felony in the 3rd Degree, punishable by a fine up to $15,000 and/or imprisonment up to 7 years.

Animal Fighting is a felony in the 3rd Degree.

There is no limit to human cruelty, evilness, or madness.

A lot of people get victimized because they believe someone would kill them if he/she has gotten the chance. People don't believe them. I always believe if you think someone is capable of doing something, then you need to be prepared if it happens.

There seem to be a switch of good/evil in people's brains. A person either chose to go one way or another. This person definitely chose evil. I would not be surprised if he does many other crimes.

These SOB's need a good dose of the 3 fold Karma rule...
That means their Karma will come back to them three times worse than what they have done. I hope the law prosecutes them and gives them maximum time. If the law doesn't take care of it I hope the Universe does!!!!

Obviously, these idiots aren't even affected by it..They are just smiling and they don't even care. How can someone intentionally inflict such pain and suffering on ANY living thing? What is this world coming to when someone can do that, and still smile afterward?

To be able to this to a defenceless animal is beyond me. They have no compassion and it is not a big stretch to know that they could do bad things to people as well. I hope they have a judge that jails them.

Unfortunately, I don't see these two getting much more than a slap on the wrists.

I live in Iowa, and remember all-too-well a few years ago, when the two 18 year-olds broke into Noah's Ark (a no-kill cat sanctuary in Fairfield, IA), and beat over 30 cats to death with baseball bats. They were only charged with 2 years prison time, and I believe they are now released. SICK SICK SICK!!!!!!!!!!

BTW, animal cruelty and violence against animals intiated by a child or a teenager is one of the early indicators of sociopathic, criminal behavior. Many serial killers were well-known animal abusers as children. I had a student (VERY SICK 11 year-old, behavior disorder, NO REMORSE FOR ANYTHING, conduct disorder, oppositonal-defiant, you name it) earlier this year whose family brought home one of those adorabe mini-doberman puppies for a family pet. Within one hour of the dog being in their residence, the father found the child holding the dog in the bathtub, all of it's limbs amputated with a kitchen knife. The dog died, even after prompt emergency care. This student only made it with me for 3 weeks, and then was placed back in residential treatment. SAD.

I'll be praying for these two kids. They are NOT right in the head, and absolutely NEED to experience real legal repercussions for their heinous actions. Very disturbing.

This is also a sign of abuse on the child. It can go either way, either they can become serial killers, or it is a sign that the child itself is being abused in some way. Alot of children who are abused take it out on animals....they don't have power over the abuser, and sometimes are too afraid to tell another adult, so they take out their anger & hurt on an animal. My dad has his doctorate in counseling/therapy and specializes in children with learning disabilities etc. Alot of the times the patients/children have been abused or have shown signs of abuse (with animals or younger siblings).

That being said, 4 teenagers from 4 different families know better. I can see 1 or even 2, saying, maybe they are being abused, not that it's forgivable, but you can at least see where it started. But 4?!?! Didn't any of them think "hey I don't wanna hurt this kitty"?

However, if they are "NOT right in the head", sociopathic, or any other combination of mentally unwell, then legal repercussions do nothing in terms of either rehabilitating them or protecting the community, unfortunately.
These children may do better in a long term residential care facility.

Sad, very sad stories overall.


(as a totally relatively unimportant aside..there is no such thing as a "mini-doberman". There are miniature pinschers and there are dobermans. They aren't varying sizes of the same breed....Just a pet peeve of mine and had to note it....)
