Hi yall....my 4 yr old male cat is sick for the first time. I am working 12 hr shifts and cant get him to the vet...his coat has become almost "sticky" and a bad odor is coming from it...he also is letharthgic...

You're little one needs to see a Vet and is counting on you.
In most areas there are Emergency Vets that operate after the normal Vet hrs. Call your Vet and see what he can do or get you to someone that can.
There were times were I had take off from work to get him there. I know this might be hard for you but Please do the right think for your little one.

it was a piece of string that got far in his throat, he was dry heaving trying to get it out...he is great now! thanks
I'm so glad he is OK. At least it was a pretty minor thing that could be taken care of quickly.
