Kitten and litter/grooming question

Hi again! Is it normal for my 8week old kitten to step in her poopie and track it in my house? I have to catch her and wipe her paws and bum down when she's done, and I can't watch her all night! hehe I worry about feces getting all over the house when I have a 3yr little boy too!

Also, she doesn't groom very well yet? Will she get better?

Actually, it isn't unusual as kittens are learning to cover their poop and pee...is she stepping through it as she is covering it or is she just poopping and then jumping out of the litterbox?

Additionally, for the grooming, you can buy wipes that are designated for cats (look for ones that can be safely used on 8 week old kittens).
