First let me explain my situation/dilemma:

I have three cats: Lilly Cali and Mia. Lilly and Cali were rescued 4 years ago and are sisters. They were orphaned and a friend of mine and I nursed the whole litter - me being unable to let Lilly and Cali go to anyone but me. Well, October of last year I rescued a new kitten: Mia. I got tons of good advice from this forum on how to correctly introduce Mia to Lilly and Cali. I followed all rules and eventually was able to release Mia from my bedroom.

WELLLLL - that didn't last long. Lilly absolutely refuses to accept Mia. For a while, I just decided I'd let them fight it out but I could no longer stand it. Mia was constantly being terrorized by Lilly.

So now, Mia is back in the bedroom and I alternate with the other two cats daily. It's a big pain but I just want to do my best to make all my animals as content and happy as I can.

I realize this can't go on forever - it's been too long already!! That is why I started a search on products which could help me try the transition yet again. I have heard of Feliway but don't know anyone personally that's tried it. Does it work? Or is it just a waste of money?

Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm just at my wit's end - the health and happiness of my pets is very important to me.

There is a less expensive alternative called At Ease. It's worked for my cats. I do have to say though I have heard some WONDERFUL things about Feliway. You may want to try At Ease first then move up the food chain.

i had some aggression problems with my tabby Wonton a few weeks ago (there's a thread about it in this forum a couple pages back). it was aggression towards me tho, not other cats, as he's an only cat. i too researched options, and i too saw Feliway and heard great thingsa bout it. i was willing to try anything so iw ent to a pet store and got some-40 bucks for a little spray bottle of it. i've been spraying it faithfully everyday, and i DO think it's made a difference. my kitty seems more relaxed now, and hasn't shown any aggression to me in a while now. i'd definately say give Feliway a try.

I've had good luck with it. I don't have aggression problems but our oldest cat, Much, tends to get very skittish with the other cats around. The other cats tend to startle her. When I'm using the Feliway, Much calms down and is more laid back. I use the diffuser in the bedroom where they hang out the most.

Hope this doesn't sound dumb but can cats OD with too much Feliway in one house? Reason I'm asking is I would need one in the bedroom and then one in the living room. Would that be ok?? Thanks for all your responses - so very helpful.

I think that would be fine, I dont think they would overdose unless you had one plugged into every outlet. They say on them how much room it covers so go by that.

Oh where can you buy At Ease. I tried googling it but found nothing.

I doubt that cats overdosing on it is possible. You should be fine with one in each room. A plug-in will accomodate a room of up to 650 square feet.
