My female keeps going in and out every week.. one week on one week off.. how long will this last so I can get her fixed? Or can I get it done during one of the weeks she's not goin crazy?
Over here vets always prefer operating when the cat's not in heat (ie the week between in your case) because there is more bleeding when they're operated on when in heat, and so there is a little more risk to the surgery. That's why I've had both my cats spayed during the off week, I see no reason to take that extra risk since it was possible to schedule them for the week they're not in heat. Of course, it's better to do it during heat than not at all, or if you're going so nuts over it you just can't wait another week.
