I don't mind doing laundry at all- i love those new "simple pleasures" lines of fabric softners- they're yummy! But i do hate putting lanudry away, which is weird because i'm a little bit of a neat freak.

See, now I don't get this. DH and I do our laundry once a week down in the basement laundry room of our building. Usually it's about 3 loads. But without fail, whenever someone sees us bringing the laundry either downstairs or upstairs, they comment on what an extraordinary amount of laundry we have for just two people. I never thought it was that much, and now I see some of you are doing 2 or 3 loads a couple times a week, which is way more than us! Why do these people think we have so much laundry? Do they never change their clothes?

And btw, I HATE HATE HATE doing laundry. It is always about a thousand degrees down in the laundry room, and there is always someone who hasn't done their laundry in about a month taking up all the washers. No to mention that on any given day, three of the dryers aren't drying properly, but it's never the same three, so you don't find out until you've already had your clothes in there for 45 minutes and wasted the $1.25.

This is crazy i thought that my boyfriend was the only guy in the world to change his clothes more then 2 times in one day (not counting his work clothes) mind you he works 6am-5pm everyday and wears his uniform and if he wears something for more then 10 minutes its dirty. When I do laundry one basket is mine and towels and the other 3 baskets are his i dont get men sometimes...... lol

I alway have a mountain of dirty clothes, and I cannot figure it out. I almost always wear scrubs, or sweats, and SO will wear the same jeans for 2 days, changing everything else. I think the cats wear my clothes when we are not home and get them dirty!

Laundry is one chore I really don't mind doing, It's just me so I generally do one load of darks, one load of lights/whites and a load of towels a week.
When my ex lived with me I had the same problem as Lilleah- I swear he wore three outfits a day!
do your own freakin laundry!! luckily I have a washer/dryer in my place, I couldn't imagine ever having to go to a landromat again

I also HATE laundry iwth a passion. It never ends. I think Lee puts clean clothes in the dirty pile. THis weekend I made him take all the dirty clothes down stairs and it filled one of those tall hampers full and it was spilling all over the floor. I am still not done. we are up to i think 5 or 6 loads! Yuck!!

Back in college, the dorm I lived in was 3 stories with no elevator. I'm surprised I didn't fall and break my neck going downstairs to do laundry (I would put it off forever, so I would have HUGE loads and I'm a small person.)

You know my issue with laundry is washing sheets. We have a king sized bed b/c DH is tall and I HATE making up the new bed... I find myself fighting with the duvet cover for a good 10 minutes. ARG.

How often do y'all change your sheets, if you don't mind me asking?

The never ending laundry
I am soooo behind! We've been stuck on 12 hours 6 day a week shifts at work
so I have piles of laundry big enough to get lost in
even if I was rich and did'nt have to work, I still don't think it would ever be caught up lol I'm glad I dont have kids!

I change them every week, which means I average 4 or 5 loads of wash a week for the two of us. (European washers and dryers tend to be much smaller than American ones, though). I don't mind washing or folding clothes, but I tend to dump them in the spare room for a day before putting them away. What I really hate is ironing. I won't buy anything I have to iron, and if hubby does, he has to iron it.

Once a week. And the clean ones go straight from the dryer to the bed, because neither one of us can fold a fitted sheet.
We have a king sized too and it's quite a project getting the sheets on--especially with the Nathan Cat crawling under the fitted sheet--hey, what's that big lump under there?

I have enough underwear and clothes to do laundry every month. I just go through all of my clothes. I am too busy to do laundry often.

I have plenty of clothes b/c when I was a freshman, all of my friends gained their "freshman 15". I never did.

I use the biggest commercial machine with hot water at a laundromat.

I do about 4-5 loads every Saturday. I have a heavy-duty washer and dryer and hate to waste water so I want a full load when I do it.

I love ironing - I even press my hubby's bluejeans. Everything is put away as soon as it comes out of the dryer and is folded - load by load.

It's one of the few household chores I actually don't mind doing at all.

I change our sheets every week (Queen size bed) but usually put the same sheets on straight from the dryer (with lots of help from Bijou and Mika of course).

I usually do laundry once a week. But then again, its just me here! (and whatever clothes Patrick has left here). I usually do 2 or 3 over the course of each weekend. One with sheets and towels, and one or two of clothes, depending on how much is dirty. So as you can tell by my last statement, I change my sheets once a week usually. Its easy for me because I have 3 sheet sets, so I just take off the dirty and immediately grab a clean set from the linen closet. If it wasn't such a pain to try and make the bed with Marlee there, I'd probably do it more often just because nearly my favorite thing in the whole world is to slide into bed the night after I put on fresh sheets: its crisp, smells wonderful, and no wrinkles!
