I was at Petsmart today admiring the cats they are trying to adopt out. Their cats are brought in by different rescue groups. One of the cats was sneezing all over the place and had very red goopy eyes. I called the rescue group and left a message offering to pay for a vet visit for the cat but haven't heard anything back. The cats are locked in their cages. Should I continue to try to contact this rescue group, talk to the store manager, or just give up? Any suggestions?
I would love to adopt this cat but I already have four pets and my husband says no more.

Talk to the store manager...this cat may already be under treatment (some rescue groups do keep the cats there 24/7 and treat them at the store)...it is a good thing to point out if this cat needs to be taken to the vet. URIs spread like wildfire.

Thanks Katie. I went to Petsmart this morning and the cat was still there with a plastic bag taped to the front of his cage so they are aware of his problem. I talked to the manager and she said the rescue group was going to pick him up and send him to a foster home for care today.
