my baby girl (cat of course
somehow got a broken leg the other day. we dont know how but the vet said it does happen for no real reason other than she is still growing, bones are soft and she couldve just moved funny. she is also very very tiny,9 mths looks 4 and the runt of the litter. either way she had surgery today on her back leg as the bone cracked just below her knee and she had to have pins put in it! ouch! it cost us $1000 but she is soooo worth it.we went to see her today and she was a bit tired but overall purred and kissed me and loved me! my problem is this...we have 2 other cats they all get along and love her they play all the time but i guess she has to be kenneled all the time for weeks and weeks so the pins dont come out and if they did she'd have to have it amputated! but i just hope being small and a tad timid if this is going to mentally change her for the worse?? i just dont want her to harm herself so how can i help her adjust? also for pain and love how much can i give her? we pick her up tomm. even thought we have so many pets i miss her SO much!

Poor girl! Can you buy or borrow a cage to keep her in so that she can be part of the family but stay out of harm's way? That might be better for her that shutting her way in a bathroom or some place where she would be lonely. Good vibes for a complete recovery.

I would definitely recommend having this conversation with the vet. S/he knows the details of her injury and can make the best recommendations. Whatever happens, she's going to be fine, but talk to the vet to find out what kind of restrictions she needs on her activity.

yeah we got a bit of info from our vet we are actually using a huge rabbit cage for her. she didnt care about the cage at the vets but now she is home she is dying to get out of it! it doesnt help that our other cat wants to see her real bad and keeps laying on the top of the cage to hang out!!!
