Okay, some of you may remember me posting a couple of weeks ago about the feral cat outside that had four kittens. Well, I was feeding them and waiting on the people to call back about the traps for the kittens and the mom. Well she and three of her kittens disappeared yesterday. She was pregnant again too.
I don't know why she took off because I was feeding her and they were safe under the house.

Now I have this one little female kitten, about 10 weeks old or so, under the house crying non-stop. I've got food and water out there for her and I've seen her eat once so I know she's eating the kitten food. She is terrified of me though and won't come out but for a few seconds to get something to eat. She is crying so much. Poor little thing.

Why do you think mom bolted and left her but not the other kittens? What do I do about her down there?

I hate that the mom has took off and will have even more kittens somewhere and none of those are going to get fixed now.
Of all days I get the call too saying they can help me with traps now.

I would get the kitten and get her inside quickly. There is no telling why mom left her, perhaps the little one is ill, although at that age mom would have abandoned her earlier if that was the case. But the little one is in great danger on her own and scared, cold and needing to be inside.

Sometimes they leave a kitten behind cause there is something wrong with it and or it was to busy playing around to even notice mom said Lets go.She may come back for it if thats the case usually with "wild cats" when the kittens become of age the mom will take the babies out to learn to hunt and fend on their own. Until then I would keep feeding her and if you have a old stuff soft animal give that to her so she can snuggle up and feel protected.
I hope things work out and hope the mommy comes back and if she is preg again check the yard she may just have moved to a more quiet new spot

If the kitten truly is 10 weeks old, she is most definitely old enough to fend for herself...but as everyone said, BRING HER INDOORS. She's frightened, and probably doesn't understand why momma took off on her. But, like I said, a 10-week old kitten is fairly independent...she should be eating completely on her own (either dry or canned kitten food), will be going potty on her own, and able to hunt for her own prey, since she's outdoors at this time.

But please do bring her inside...and take her to the vet. Mother cats will abandon sick babies. I'm so sorry that Momma is pregnant again, and has taken her litter elsewhere. Hopefully she will be safe with her kittens, and for the kittens that come. But you never know, she could come around again really soon, so I'd keep the traps handy, and keep my eyes open.

I can't get her inside. She is terrified of me and won't allow me anywhere near her. I've tried several times to get her in here. She's just like her mom, totally wild. She is eating well now, but whines still. Oddly enough I saw the mom at the backside of the property yesterday, but she won't come up here anymore to the kitten.
I don't know what to do about the kitten. I have to get the traps I guess and just try and get her fixed. I hope she can be tamed, but I know I can't bring her in here and do it. Poor little thing.

I was going to suggest you get a couple of humane traps..one for the mom and one for the kitten and try to trap both of them so they can be spayed. After they are spayed...they can be returned outdoors...just make sure the vet uses dissolving stitches.
