So two questions...azriel when he plays with us he bites most of the time it doesnt hurt but occasionally it will hurt my question is does he do this because he is a kitten and is playing and if i dont correct the bitting now that may not hurt will he do it when hes older? and how do i correct it? i tell him no that doesnt work though not on the bitting at least.

Second is...he was born on monday april 10th...so technically hes not 9 weeks old until this Monday the 12th but the 10th is saturday...when do you start going by the date instead of the actually day like moday to monday is aweek....i want to celebrate and take pictures but dont know when to do it monday or tomorrow the 10th....

I say celebrate which ever day you want.
heheeee.

on the biting there is another thread that was just posted about this on here yesterday I think and it has some GREAT ideas. he is just playing and since he doesn't have a mom to teach him what is too hard or what isn't acceptable that is up to you to do. Some said push your hand towards his mouth and he will let go. you can hiss at him when he does it............ there were other ideas I cant' remember too. GL.
can't wait for more pictures.

My kitten (12 weeks) Steuben is a TERRIBLE biter. He is quite feisty, and yes, it's play aggression. If he bites or nips, put your hands under your lap, and ignore him. Or, once he starts using your hands as a toy, immediately whip out a wand toy, or something that WOULD be acceptable for him to bite. They need to learn that hands are for lovin'!!!!

But this is totally normal kitten behavior, and just know that he's not doing it to be naughty.
