well lets make it short some one dropped off a kitten 2 days ago. it was very dehydrated and i thought it was sick. i took it to an animal place and the women gave me formula to start it off with. she said it was around 3-4 weeks old. i've been feeding it formula and it's doing very well, runs around and plays and eats like it should. the kitten seems to have the "runs" sometimes but others it's fine. should i be concerned about this or could the formula just be affecting it. please help me. and thank you!

Yes, it could just be the formula or the stress of changing homes. Keep watching for dehydration, lack of energy etc. If you see ANY signs that the kitten isn't gaining weight every day or other red flags go to the vet. But kittens will get the runs occasionally.

It is good to have the baby checked out no matter - she might have worms, etc. A wellness check up is always in order.

Have you had a vet check it out yet? Very possibly it has worms as most young kittens do and this would cause slight runs.

I would strongly recommend taking the kitten to the vet. It sounds like the kitten is doing okay overall but he definitely should be dewormed. The vet can also give you a better idea of the kitten's age which will help you to know when to transition from formula to soft kitten food.

Good work! I think your kitten is going to be just fine.

Yes, a vet visit is in order for sure. Most kittens have worms...it's almost a given. If she's running around and playing, and eliminating on her own, she could very well be older than you think she is.
