I'm considering fostering a pair of kittens from an oops litter a relative had. Pudge has been an only cat for a while now, and is fairly happy with having us all to herself (although she gets along great with other cats and has only hissed or growled twice total in her entire life, both times being provoked.)
I would like to foster them, but she has just begun sleeping in bed with me again (something she hadnt done since kittenhood, when she first figured out that she wasn't a tiny, squeaky dinner but family), and I am afraid that they'll pester her or she'll revert to sleeping in the livingroom, etc.
She gets along with other cats, but does not actively seek contact with them (she's a dilute tortie). She tends to watch everything that's going on in a room, and will usually only get involved if the other cats initiate it. The kittens are a calico and a black cat (littermates), who are only weeks old. Pudge is two.
Should I or should I not foster them?
