Ruby still has not had her babies and she's getting HUMONGOUS. (She was huge a week ago, so I need to step up the description-- she will be gargantuan in a few days.)
Here is a picture I took on Tuesday and one I took ten minutes ago.

I think she had doubled in size (although the picture does not show it that well.)

I have no idea how many babies she is having or when she got pregnant. Today is our 2 week anniversary together. When I took her in, I thought she would have the babies within a day or so. One good thing about the delay, she is used to me now, so I think she'll let me hang out during labor.

Is she still allowed outside?? I would recommend that she be strictly indoors only until she has her kittens and weans them (and is of course spayed)....my concern is always that the cat gets scared and has their kittens in the outdoors (not ideal). Has she shown any milk production? Can you feel or see any kittens?

No, she has not been outside and will never be outside again (unless she is on a harness). She loves being indoors. It took a few days of adjustment, and she escaped twice early on, but came right back. Now she just lounges around. She is definitely going to be spayed as soon as she stops lactating!

Her milk I think is beginning to bag up, but I have been unable to express any milk from her nipples.

The kittens are crazy in there. They seem to be moving constantly, and when you apply pressure they generally respond with a significant movement toward the pressure. I can tell they're cute already by the way they move.

Oh my goodness, poor Ruby. I took in Adina when I thought she was full term. She went another 3 weeks and totally doubled in size. It won't be long for the poor girl.

She's pretty pathetic. She will find a spot and snooze for an hour or so and decide that she either needs to eat, drink, or potty and will get down, walk a few steps, lay down and snooze for a minute. She continues this until she reaches her destination.

I also noticed that when she is sitting on her bum to clean her face, you can't see her hind feet at all because they are under her belly.

I hope she has these babies soon!

It won't be too much longer. Adina did the whole "move 2 feet and lay back down" thing for the last 4 days. She finally got a small burst of energy which made me think she would never have them but she did that day
