If you aren't already, feed her a quality kitten food, wet and dry, and maybe a little KMR. Nature will do the rest- its kind of a supply demand thing and usually works out just fine. I have a momma that seems to be thin and kind or worn out so I have been giving her a little Nutri-Cal (a high calorie supplement that comes in a tube) and that seems to help.

I use this for my queens & have had very good luck with it, I hope this helps!

Marshmallow Root is a herb. When eaten by a pregnant animal, it stimulates her milk supply and helps bring in the rich colostrum (First Milk) which contains immune factors from the mother that protects her newborn babies from infection and disease.

Marshmallow Root only comes in capsules.

Give ONE capsule of Marshmallow Root daily a few days before your queen's due date and continue until the kittens are weaned.
Or, if your queen has previously had problems with poor milk production follow this advanced protocol:

Give ONE capsule of marshmallow daily from the time the pregnancy is confirmed
One week before her due date, increase to 2 capsules/day
If the queen has absolutely no milk at all, increase to 3 capsules/day
Continue until the kittens are weaned
Give the capsule orally or
Sprinkle on wet food

Oh, that is very interesting to know. I think I will pick some up after work for Nina, she can use all the help she can get.

You can find it at health food stores (where they sell bulk herbs) but I'm not sure if they sell it elsewhere.
