I live in Orlando, FL and have lived here for the past 5 years. My heart and true home though are really in Ormond Beach, FL, a small east coast town with lots of history, beauty, and heart.

This weekend I'll be heading to the beach with some friends to go surfing, like we do every Saturday! Tomorrow night is a friend's birthday so we'll be heading to his party which I'm sure will be a good time. Sunday, unfortunately, I have to work an awful promotional job where I stand outside in the sun all day, but luckily the hours aren't too long. Monday, for me, is still pretty much the weekend so I'll again be heading to the beach to surf but this time it'll just be my boyfriend and I, which is of course my favorite way to head out there!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

I live in Northern NY-near Canadian border-

We've been having major flooding problems in our cellar (old farm house) with all the rain -living on an aquafer doesn't help either so we are having a new drainage system put in-not looking forward to the mess & mud-but won't have to worry about the flooding any more-

Thanks! Just brought the little lad home. He's a bit wobbly on his feet but otherwise his normal self. he's just eaten a huge tea (feed him a little bit of bland food they said
) and is already trying to play. Exactly how are you supposed to prevent a kitten from jumping around?!

Aww, bless him!
I have no idea how they expect anyone to keep a kitten still and calm!
Hopefully he'll calm down soon and have a little snooze!

I'm in San Antonio, Texas... a hop, skip and a jump away from SeaWorld. Therefore, we'll probably be visiting Shamu and his friends sometime this weekend (the joy of season passes)... my hubby wants to go to Fiesta Texas (roller coaster park) but that might be a bit out of our budget for now...

Sorry, I figured you would know
Oh, thanks! Actually, I've not been further west on my bike than the MA/NY border, and the only place in Canada that I've ever been was Montreal, which is in Quebec. Wasn't sure where Ontario was, just looked it up.

I'd never heard of this before, thanks again for the info! Maybe one of these days...but it's quite far to ride and I'd have to take more than just the Friday off, LOL!!!

By the way, I have a Sportster, not a Cruiser, so to ride more than 500 miles in a day is quite the hardship for my little behind, lol!

Hi!

I live in Western Mass - Pothole City!! (for those of you from my town you are familiar with the nickname.
) and I'm sure there are other towns out there with the same feeling.

Actually this is my first weekend without any plans. Other than running soccer tryouts tonite, I have nothing this weekend. No soccer for the first time in months!
Unfortunately, my grandfather is also very ill and was put in the hospital this past week, so I will be going to see him this weekend.
. The prognosis is not very good, so send good vibes please. At least with a free weekend I will have all the time in the world to spend with my grandparents whom I don't get to see that often (they live in FL from Oct - May).

I'm in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.. isn't that big of a city, there's around 33,000 people. I live near the stockyards and on hot days it just REEKS here!

And as for the weekend, I have no idea what I'm doing. Probably nothing.

Hi, I'm Caro and I live in Huntsville, AL. I thought this would be a typical working weekend (I'm unfortunate enough to have to work every weekend, sadly) but there is one nice thing. My best friend from home (Atlanta, GA) called me to say that her brother has a race in Huntsville this weekend and she's coming over with her family, which means that I'll get to see her for dinner tonight (Romano's Macaroni Grill, here we come!) and she's coming over to my house tomorrow, and my husband will be making his family's famous chili, vegetarianized for me.

Next week, my sisters are visiting and they're staying for four days, and I get to take two days off work to spend with them. I'm excited!

My home is in Metuchen NJ, which is pretty close to NYC-- but is a small town (10,000) in central NJ. I work in the financial district (Wall St) in NY and am currently sitting here writing this with all my colleagues sitting around me concentrating on the World Cup on TV (Germany 4, CRC 2). As for my weekend, my step-granddaughter Erin, who is 5 has her first ballet recital tomorrow morning
and I'm pretty happy to be going to that. Otherwise, I'm just hoping for a non-rainy weekend to get some outdoor work done.
We have 3 cats (Tsuki 6, Misha 4 and Gabby 3), but in the past have owned up to 6 at any one time. Our first 4 all lived long lives and passed away in their 20's!! Our cats are generally tabby's and except for our first, Kasey--whom we paid $10 for at a pet shoppe, the rest we got at pounds, or the just arrived at our door.

I'm in the US. DH and I had our third aniversary on Wednesday but he's been in a special training class all week so we didn't celebrate then, just exchanged cards. So tomorrow we are goin to The Rusty Rudder for dinner! They have an all you can eat seafood buffet that includes things like king crab legs, crab balls, and all other kinds of fancy seafood. I love it! I've been there several times but it is an expensive place so we don't go often. After that I think we're either going to walk on the beach or play mini-golf. I can't stand all the tourist traffic so I don't usually head near the beaches in the summer, but the Rusty Rudder is worth it!

I am in Burlington, Ontario which is about half way between Toronto and the Niagara Falls border of the US... and seen as it was mentioned here, one of the 'stops' on the Friday 13the ride to Port Dover... don't even try getting into a gas station those mornings.

Although I am originally from Dublin, Ireland and lived in London, England most of my life... so Burlington is the quiet side of me!

This weekend will hopefully bring lots of sleep and not too much work, my BF has to work so I think I will enjoy a couple of lazy days of nothingness, take some photos, maybe go for a walk on the Bruce Trail
