Where in the world are you and whats planned for your weekend? - Page 2

Hi!
I live in Western Mass - Pothole City!! (for those of you from my town you are familiar with the nickname. ) and I'm sure there are other towns out there with the same feeling.

Actually this is my first weekend without any plans. Other than running soccer tryouts tonite, I have nothing this weekend. No soccer for the first time in months!
Unfortunately, my grandfather is also very ill and was put in the hospital this past week, so I will be going to see him this weekend. . The prognosis is not very good, so send good vibes please. At least with a free weekend I will have all the time in the world to spend with my grandparents whom I don't get to see that often (they live in FL from Oct - May).

I'm in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.. isn't that big of a city, there's around 33,000 people. I live near the stockyards and on hot days it just REEKS here!

And as for the weekend, I have no idea what I'm doing. Probably nothing.

i live in Fairmont, WV, USA and my plans for the weekend are....drum roll please....... nothing!!! Well, almost nothing, but that is just great because I work and go to school full time so time off is at a premium or me.

Hi, I'm Caro and I live in Huntsville, AL. I thought this would be a typical working weekend (I'm unfortunate enough to have to work every weekend, sadly) but there is one nice thing. My best friend from home (Atlanta, GA) called me to say that her brother has a race in Huntsville this weekend and she's coming over with her family, which means that I'll get to see her for dinner tonight (Romano's Macaroni Grill, here we come!) and she's coming over to my house tomorrow, and my husband will be making his family's famous chili, vegetarianized for me.

Next week, my sisters are visiting and they're staying for four days, and I get to take two days off work to spend with them. I'm excited!

My home is in Metuchen NJ, which is pretty close to NYC-- but is a small town (10,000) in central NJ. I work in the financial district (Wall St) in NY and am currently sitting here writing this with all my colleagues sitting around me concentrating on the World Cup on TV (Germany 4, CRC 2). As for my weekend, my step-granddaughter Erin, who is 5 has her first ballet recital tomorrow morning and I'm pretty happy to be going to that. Otherwise, I'm just hoping for a non-rainy weekend to get some outdoor work done.
We have 3 cats (Tsuki 6, Misha 4 and Gabby 3), but in the past have owned up to 6 at any one time. Our first 4 all lived long lives and passed away in their 20's!! Our cats are generally tabby's and except for our first, Kasey--whom we paid $10 for at a pet shoppe, the rest we got at pounds, or the just arrived at our door.

I'd never heard of this before, thanks again for the info! Maybe one of these days...but it's quite far to ride and I'd have to take more than just the Friday off, LOL!!!

By the way, I have a Sportster, not a Cruiser, so to ride more than 500 miles in a day is quite the hardship for my little behind, lol!

Ouch, we don't want any bum injuries

I'm in the US. DH and I had our third aniversary on Wednesday but he's been in a special training class all week so we didn't celebrate then, just exchanged cards. So tomorrow we are goin to The Rusty Rudder for dinner! They have an all you can eat seafood buffet that includes things like king crab legs, crab balls, and all other kinds of fancy seafood. I love it! I've been there several times but it is an expensive place so we don't go often. After that I think we're either going to walk on the beach or play mini-golf. I can't stand all the tourist traffic so I don't usually head near the beaches in the summer, but the Rusty Rudder is worth it!

I am in Burlington, Ontario which is about half way between Toronto and the Niagara Falls border of the US... and seen as it was mentioned here, one of the 'stops' on the Friday 13the ride to Port Dover... don't even try getting into a gas station those mornings.

Although I am originally from Dublin, Ireland and lived in London, England most of my life... so Burlington is the quiet side of me!

This weekend will hopefully bring lots of sleep and not too much work, my BF has to work so I think I will enjoy a couple of lazy days of nothingness, take some photos, maybe go for a walk on the Bruce Trail

That's why a lot of people call it "trailer week" instead of bike week, LOL!

I'll be riding mine! I'll wave as I go by ya!

This weekend is the traditional Chinese Summer Festival (a holiday that is almost as big as Chinese New Year)

Hubby and I going to Chinatown, Houston and spend the weekend with Mom.

Hubby has two jobs. One of them is a salesman at a bike shop. He is really good with bikes and if you have any questions about bikes I'll ask him

Thanks, I appreciate the offer, but I've had my Harley for 7 years now and my mechanic is a very close friend, so I think I'm covered!

Have fun in Chinatown! Eat some yummies for me!!!

Thank you very much.

Let's just hope Mom doesn't offer hubby pig intestines again like she did on the Chinese New Year.

Edited to add: OOPS!!! When I read bikes I thought you meant bicycles. I was wrong. I guess hubby can't help you after all.

I'm from Houston, Texas, USA. Here are a few pics from around town:

This weekend it all starts off with me going to bed early so that I may wake up for my BIG certification test tomorrow for the State of Texas. This determines whether or not I start teaching elementary school this fall. After that, my husband (Zack) and I are going to a festival. This is a festival near downtown, the Blue Bayou Event:

On Sunday, we have church and sunday school and then my mom and I are going shopping for me. She is basically buying me a pretty nice sized wardrobe for my new career--which I am waiting on It's going to be a busy one!

I live in Kentucky and I have a date tonight if I don't talk myself out of it which I have a bad habit of. But have been sick from sinuses. Last night at work the boss let me sleep during my lunch and let me take an extra 30 minutes. I was so sick. I took some tylenol sinuse and I guess I had a fever because I got chilled and then next thing I know I am ringing wet from sweat and then cold again. But hopefully my date goes well. Haven't been on a date in so long.

I did a 3 month tenting/driving tour of America in 2002 so I will have to read carefully to see if I have been to your home towns.

I live just outside of NYC. My plans this weekend include going to the Tony Awards. That's the award ceremonies for Broadway. I have a client that is nominated this year.

Hi all -- I live in Vancouver, BC, where a couple of days of downpour seems to be turning around, and offering at least some sun for the weekend. I have a couple of errands to tend tomorrow, but other than that it's a pretty quiet weekend. If my sweetie gets around to cleaning the venturi tubes on the BBQ, there may be some ribs in it for him
