I have this pair of shoes that I wore to work today.

Well, I was walking to my car after work tonight and my shoe slipped off and I proceeded to TRIP over it!!

I went down hard on my left knee and skinned my nose slightly. My hip hurts and my knee is skinned and starting to swell. I have a heating pad on it right now and I think it is helping. I don't think anything is broken, just hurts like the dickens

Dang shoes!!!

Hurts like the Dickens.
I LOVE THAT!

Im so gonna use that someday. Hurts like the Dickens. oh that is great stuff right there.

As for the shoes, If they're cute, and they somehow hurt you, they are still worth it to me.

Cute shoes sometimes cause pain in one.
And that's ok. Because you were lovin' them anyhow.

It IS TRUE! So so very true. I had these AWESOME shoes for a concert in Chicago, and the next day my feet were in agony. But at least I know my shoes were awesome.

The shoes are going in the trash. They are not all that cute and it isn't worth the pain.

As for "hurts like the dickens" that is an old saying of my moms, and I couldn't say what I wanted without being censored... LOL

That story sounds all too familiar!! But I was wearing the super cute heels with a cute little dress and fell down the stairs because of the shoes. But I still wore them all the time!! I loved them!!

in a pile of open toed shoes!
I have these really HOT pair of shoes that I love to wear... they look like the doctor scholl's from the 70's only with a 4 inch wooden heel. And they're white across the toe. Well, note to self...do not wear while intoxicated. The week before my vacation, I was walking uphill instead of taking the steps, and I had a few drinks in me...I feel and twisted my ankle and my whole foot was swollen and bruised. I ended up needing an x-ray...but it wasn't broken. The price we pay for beauty!!!

I had been wearing a pair of Ralph Lauren Polo boots for the last three years. It retails for $200 but I got it for $20.

I was so pleased with the shoes I told Hubby to get the same shoes. He brought them for $100 and one of the soles literally broke in half after three months.

So we went back to the shoe salesperson. He told us Ralph Lauren Polo's shoe division had a change of management and their shoes' quality took a deep plunge afterwards.

I hate the change of management every single time I find a good deal. GRRR.....

UPDATE

When I got to work today and they found out I fell on company property, I had to fill out an accident report. Even though it was my fault, they paid for me to go to the company doctor. I had several xrays of my knee, back and hip. Nothing is broken and it is just a strain. They wrapped my knee and gave me a back brace. They would have given me a knee brace, but because I am overweight and have fat knees, they just wrapped it. I don't mind, LOL. I was paid for the time at the doctor's office and did not have to wait for very long at all. I was back in the office within an hour and a half. My hubby is relieved that nothing serious is wrong with the knee, hip and back. I am just sore.
