hind leg problems

10 yr old female has swelling in both legs, can hardly walk, weight loss, can't get into liter box, vet has done xrays, checked out some small tumors, no heart problems, blood work cbc, everything came back fine, she's been on steriods & antibotics. She done better until we tappered off the steriods and now she's back to being in pain & not walking. She is very sensitive when you message her legs to help the swelling. Her legs are warm so they don't think she has circulation problems. They want to refer her to the clinic at Auburn??any suggestions
