What do you think it means??

I have found 3 four leaf clovers within the past few weeks . Well, as I found I my 3rd one I noticed one near it that had...5 leaves. What do you make of that?

Here's a picture of it. Hope you can make out all 5 leaves. The one is kinda small.

I think I agree with you. After I found the first one I got a speeding ticket

There is a special breed of clovers that has four leaves. It was bred by farmers who sold the strain to people who wanted good luck.

One of your neighbors probably grew that for good luck and the seeds got spread to your garden.

According to Irish folklore, finding a stem of clover with 4 leaves will bring you good luck, but finding a clover stem with more than 4 leaves will bring you bad luck.

I had done reading in Irish folklore, lucky emblems and the like a few years ago, but you know just in case of curiosity, I found a website with the above mentioned....

That's pretty neat. Did you get them all from the same field? Whether it's unlucky or not, it's pretty rare to find four clovers with more than three leaves in only a couple weeks.

I think it is good luck

I had a patch of 4 leaf clovers out back of my house when I was little .... I think they just kept breeding and spreading the 4 leaf-ness.

Or perhaps it's good luck.

Depends on if you're superstitous or not. And even if you aren't, what's the harm in believing you've got good luck coming?

lol. You sure DO research! I seen in another thread about you researching, cuz you gotta know for intrests sake. lol. Great job though! I think I may be too lazy for that stuff. I do it sometimes, but others I'm just too lazy.

I have a 4 leaf clover in my wallet that I found about 3 years ago. I guess it has brought me luck. Nothing too bad has happened to me. *knock on wood*

That's what I was going to say. This generally happens from chemicals getting into the soil causing the plant to mutate.

Then again, I've found many 5-leaf clovers over the years, and I've had lots of bad luck! What makes it worse, my last name is Murphy, so I get the double whammy of Murphy's law AND the 5-leaf clover finds, LOL!!!

I've also heard that if you find a 4-leaf clover, that you have to pass it along to someone. You don't get good luck if you keep it, but the person you gift it to is supposed to get good luck. No idea where I heard this from tho...

My ex-husband found a ton of four leaf clovers in the grass outside the church we got married in, and then more on our honeymoon. I had a whole page full in our wedding album, and our best man brought it up in his speech that it must mean we were lucky and would stay together.....notice I said "ex" husband? If you find four leaf clovers, run away!!!
