Hi. I'm trying to get some feedback / advice. My girlfriend and I have the opportunity to travel for 2 months (she is a teacher). We also can make a good deal of money by renting out our apartment on a daily / weekly basis. Big catch is that I'm concerned about my cat Luna. I've had her for 11 years and we've been in this apartment for almost 2. My girlfriend has a teacher friend who is willing to take her in. I'm just nervous about traumatizing her. It's one thing to go away for some time and have neighbors / friends coming by to take care of her in the home that she is used to but moving her out and then going away for almost 2 months - I don't know.

The other option would be to bring her down to one of our parent's houses in North Carolina (where we are driving first). The downside is that my girlfriend's parents already have their hands full with 2 dogs and an inside / outside cat; and my parents are a little too compulsively neat with their house. They used to have a cat who was unfortunately declawed.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Eric

Welcome to TCS

Could you start visiting this friend and bring the cat with you so she can get used to the sights and sounds?
