in a pile of open toed shoes!
Did any of you hear that Oprah is now crashing weddings?! I heard on the radio that she is giving the bride & groom a lavish gift when she crashes...

But I was wondering... how many brides would be ok with that? I mean, it's supposed to be your 1 day to outshine the rest of the world, and then Oprah shows up stealing all your thunder! I'm not really sure how I feel, I'd probably be too star struck to feel anything.... but how would all of you feel?

That's a good question...knowing my first reactions to things I would probably be pissed
...but then I would be flattered and thought it was pretty cool she crashed my wedding haha...

I don't think I'd mind - I love Oprah, and of course if she's gonna give me a lavish gift, who cares?

My wedding just wasn't a big deal, really.
I wasn't outshining anyone, and I wasn't trying to. I was marrying my husband, and that was enough. I would have happily welcomed Oprah!

IA. If you need me, just meow..
I think I'd be very upset, because as you said, she is stealing your thunder.
I think that a wedding day is something special for a man and woman to share. Not for some star to come in and make a media circus out of.
Now if she wanted to come to my reception, Hey, the more the merrier! And she can give me anything she wanted there!

Just out of curiosity.....how many of you guys remember the man (or woman) who married you guys?

The guy who married us was the Honorable Ray Truelove. How cool was that?

There are plenty of people who would pay $$$$$ for celebrities to visit their weddings.

At one of my cousin's weddings in Taiwan, they paid $$$$$ for politicans to come to the wedding. Things work very differently over there.

ScamperFarms, what happened to your signature? It was so cool.

That's a great name! Ours was Rev. Richard Lewis... no, not the comedian!
