I have two cats and one of them just had kittens about 5 weeks ago and my other cat Max is playing rough with them and I don't know if I should stop him from doing this or just let him play. The kittens are very small and he is a very big cat and I don't want him to hurt them.

Welcome Shayes....is your male the father of these kittens?? Is he neutered?? Chances are he is just playing with them...but intact males can get very territorial around kittens that aren't his. If you are concerned...I would seperate the kittens so that they are with their mom only.

Additionally, it will be very important to have both your male and your female fixed so that you do not end up with another litter as cats can become pregnant again almost immediately after giving birth.

Below is a list of low cost spay/neuter clinics in CT:

in a pile of open toed shoes!
I would probably only let them together while supervised. This way you are still in control and your big boy can't hurt the bambinos. This also gives mama & babies some mommy & me time.
