I feel so awful for Captain. He was one of mom & dad's cats. He is now neutered, UTD on shots, & was already housetrained. Captain will need a dental cleaning after being adopted & will need them later in life(I think of this as normal). NOT ONE SINGLE PERSON HAS SHOWN INTEREST IN CAPTAIN!
I do not understand why!!! Captain sticks his tongue much of the time because of an overbite. He drools when he is really content(he purrs, too). He loves to lay in laps & get petted. He will play when he wants to, but prefers to sit on his bum.
Captain has a white tip to his tail that is absolutely adorable! He has a few "bumps" to him. He was born with a crook at the tip of his tail, he disappeared once & came back a month later with a limp, & his overbite. He is the cutest thing ever, though! I absolutely love him!

The HS president asked me what we are going to do with him. I cannot handle a 6th cat with the dogs & school right now, or I would foster him. He gets more time, but no ne will tell me how long. I don't think he will be pts b/c he's "my" cat & I volunteer there so much. I told them I do not think he can survive on a farm, but that may be his only choice. Hopefully, I can find a farm home where he will be inside a shed & they will take proper care of him if no indoors home is found.

Why doesn't anyone want him?
Look at that face!!!

If you know of any rescues near southern MN or anyone around here who would want to adopt Captain, please let me know. I guess I just want him to find an indoor home. Captain has been in a cage since February. He needs out of there & into a fur-ever home.

Oh, that face! I would take him in a heartbeat if A) I wasn't over a thousand miles away (I think) and B) Hubby was on board with expanding our cat family to three. (I want to rescue/adopt another cat, he's not ready yet.)

Best of luck finding Captain a furever home. He's precious!

Oh Natalie, reading his story breaks my heart!

I wish I had room to adopt him, cuz I would - if I had a bigger place!

I really hope he finds his fur-ever home - he deserves it!!

good luck! He is a cutie. Look on the internet for a no kill shelter near you, that way he wont need to be in a cage. I work at a no kill in PA so thats too far away.hopefully april31 can adopt him!!

How could anyone resist Captain???? I love his face, his color...everything!!! The Oakland,Cal. SPCA has a poster that says that tuxedo kitties are the least adopted
and they have to do special TUX-MONTH drives. I just don't get it - Captain would be a real gift from God for so many people, and they just pass it by
Well, I am sending {{{adoption prayers and vibes}}} that Captain finds a wonderful family & a real home very soon!

Please keep us updated! Susan

Awwww, he looks like a short-haired version of my Dusty. I'd take him if California wasn't so far away. I don't know how Dusty would like a sibling. She's used to being top cat.

This may be a long shot, Iam in Canada, Alberta, Is there anyway of going about adopting from so far away, What kind of time frame would be looking at as far as getting there and taking him home???

Iam not sure how all that would work as Iam so far away, But My hunny and I are DEFINATLEY interested. I didn't see his age (I probably missed it)??? And how is he with other kitties???

Oh poor Captain, he is so cute!! It just breaks my heart that alot of people adopting do not show interest in adult cats.

I wish I could take the cutie, but alas, I can't. I really hope that you find him a nice home. I think somebody is the perfect match for him- he sounds like a great kitty and you can tell that he is in good hands! GOOD LUCK!

Don't worry. You will find the perfect home for him.We had a blind siamese once and it took us 6 month to find him the perfect home. That family is spoiling him. Just be patient you see. Also post flyers at your local vets.

I live in Ontario, Canada...or I would be there right now. But maybe its better I am so far... I would want to save any and every kitty I encountered there.

Don't sell yourself short, Jayme & Jackson. We have had people adopt from Canada. They drove all the way down here to pick up their new pet.

Captain is good with other cats. He is good with dogs. He is good with kids. He is good with adults. He would make an awful "watch cat" as he loves everyone. Captain was born either last summer or the summer before. I can check with my little sister as Captain was her "stud muffin". She would know for sure. Either way, he is either 1 year old or 2(I am thinking 2).

If all else fails, I hope to be able to convince the HS president's new boyfriend to adopt Captain. He has his eye on someone else, but a poor little girls teary eyes & sad lip can make a guy do a lot.
It is so touching to know so many of you across the country would take Captain! He will make someone's life very special, I just know it.

april31, find out if you can afford another cat & find out if your hubby wants one. If so, then maybe you want Captain? If nothing else, you can just stop on your way through & meet all of the kitties. You never know who might find you.
