This is simply outrageous: http://edition.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS....ap/index.html What is the matter with that woman? It appears that she'll stoop very low to raise controversy that "might" help sell her books.

I don't usually agree with the way people promoting political books in general.

The way I see it: there are about 100,000 books published in the U.S. every year. Few books even recuperate the costs of printing and distribution. Most publications are given away for free or a nominal cost.

Political books, especially, can be outdated the second they are published. So they often employ extreme measures to garner attention for themselves in the hopes of selling their books in the first six months after publication before they have to sell them for 99 cents on half.com

I would take my NPR radio station over political books anytime.

I cannot stand that woman. I am going to leave it at that because I will have a hard time explaining my feelings in a PG-13 rated manner.

It is probably true the women she mentioned were somewhat cliquey. However, they have every single right to. They have lost their husbands in the most horrific, brutal, and sadistic manner.

Since they lost their husbands and the fathers to their children less than five years ago, they have the right to act a little self-obsessed. After all, if they don't take care of themselves, who will?

There are plenty of cliquey and self-obsessed women in the world. None of them deserve to be humiliated by a book. That is way over the top.

Why can't she criticize REAL politicians who expect to be criticized all the time and leave the poor housewives with no emotional reserves to deal with such criticism AT PEACE?

Ann Coulter is in the same group as Ward Churchill, IMO. At least she isn't teaching our young people as her profession. Regardless, they spout their radical ideology as if it were gospel truth with no room for disagreement. Neither believes in Freedom of Speech unless you agree with them. And they only speak for a very very small number of people who actually wholeheartedly support their ideology.

I think most people who are extremists in everything have deep deep anger and hurt issues in their hearts that need to be delivered before they start writing books.

I heard about that on Howard Stern this morning. He was quite livid and I had to agree with him. It's not like these women CHOSE for their husbands to die. All of them were happily married to these men with no plans for divorce! Let these women tell their tales if they choose to

Ahhh.....the TV didn't deserve it

It is certainlly aggreviating to watch her on TV. People like her makes us conservatives look like idiots.

This woman is insane!! She has really gone below the belt this time. She has no heart and no idea that what she is saying is just plain wrong! She is just saying someof this stuff for attention. I fail to believe that this woman honestly believes that women are "to stupid to vote" and "should stay in the home". She is immature and should learn to think before she speaks. If she thinks she's helping the Republicans she's dead wrong. She is partly the reason people think far right conservitives are crazy! She refuses to listen to any arguement that has any hint of disagreement to hers. And sadly I have friends who think exactly like her! We just don't talk about politics that makes things much easier, of course my friends are able to accept both sides and agree to disagree, unlike some people

What an outrage!!! Unfortunately, its my guess that people will read her book because of this controversy. I admit that I watch Judge Judy because she makes me angry. For some reason I enjoy yelling at her on TV. I've read that people listen to Howard Stern for the same reason.

There are those on the left that are just as bad as she is, IMO. Michael Moore immediately comes to mind...Ward Churchill...Cindy Sheehan...

Anyone on the fringe is going to make headlines because they are outrageous, and unfortunately they are seen as the epitome of the cause to those on the other side.

Every time I've seen her on tv she's seemed sort of... rabid. I've seen Michael Moore in person and he does have a few faults, such as being immature, but people came just to argue with him and he listened to what they were saying and asked them questions. I doubt Ann Coulter would do anything but yell "YOURE WRONG" like she does on tv.

What a sad publicity stunt for her though.

As a political extremist myself, we're not all like that. Some of us can be totally rational and listen to other people respectfully and debate things without acting like we escaped from the loony bin. There are people who act like that whose ideas are rather middle-of-the-road, it's more whether you think you're right and anyone else is wrong than what you think.
