this is funny and kinda made my night.... i went to "The Omen" last night (not that scary BTW) and the ticket guy actually asked to see my ID (movie is rated R) I said "how old do you think I am?" for pete's sake, I'm going to be 30 at the end of next year!
anybody else have any crazy ID stories?

I'd be flattered if I got carded!

How was the movie by the way?
I was a huge fan of the orginals (and had a big crush on Sam Neil in The Final Conflict).

in a pile of open toed shoes!
My mo-in-law asked me to p/u a pack of cigarettes for her while I was at the grocery store. I don't smoke I didn't even know where they were, apparently at the front desk. So I ran out of the house 5 yr old child in hand and my debit card. And the lady is giving me a hard time cause I didn't have ID... I'm like "I'm almost 30, not 17, I have a 2ct diamond wedding set on my finger, a 5 yr old and a price plus card, do you know any 17yr olds that have that?!" I finally won...

Another story,

When I was younger I use to hostess at a local restaurant. Well silly me, I would forget to card people if I was helping the servers out by taking drink orders.
So my manager pulled me aside and through gritted teeth to say that I need to card EVERYONE.

Sure enough the next table I set and take orders for are gray haired and look WELL beyond 28. But because of my manager's request, I asked for their IDs when they ordered some alcoholic drinks.
They laughed at me and told me that I just made their night.

I get carded for anything and everything! It kinda gets annoying, but I don't mind, they are only doing their job

I'm just so used to whipping out my ID when I'm getting John cigarettes or going to the bars - lucky John doesn't get carded anymore, he always has to wait for me at the door of the bar with the bouncer and they carefully stare at my ID, and then me, then the ID again, then me - come on! ITS ME!

Well, both of us have "baby faces" and sometimes I get annoyed when people think we are too young to get married.

I think it is great that we have an abundance of collagen in our facial features. When we turn 40 we'll only look 30
Collagen injections are expensive and can cause allergic reactions.

I walked into a gas station one night and put 12-pack of beer on the counter (I was 27 at the time) and the lady started to ring me out when I remembered to ask for a pack of cigarettes, the lady then asked me for my I.D. She was going to sell me the beer without checking

it was okay, I'm a big scaredy-cat and it didn't really scare me at all.... the cinematography was beautiful, the movie was nicely shot, but I'm very analytical when I go to the movies, I hate when the things people do in the movie don't make sense, i.e. going to a cemetery after dark is something everyone should try
it seemed kind of dis-jointed to me... I've never seen the original, so maybe that's a good thing

We don't drink. We don't smoke. We don't gamble. We are too self-conscious to go out and watch R-rated movies.

We, however, get carded for buying spray paint all the time.

It is interesting how people need to be carded to buy spray paint but they don't need to be carded for renting a R-rated movie.

I just carry my I.D. in my pocket now-a-days. I'm 22, And I get carded for everything...all the time. Even buying glue from the store.

Everybody says I look 16 or 17. Which Kind of sometimes makes me mad, because I'm NOT! I am 22. And I dont have time for you to stare at my I.D. and look at me, look back at the I.D., and look at me again. (like you kenz)

It's just annoying I think.

I honestly cannot say that I have ever even been in a situation where I needed to be carded. I've never bought beer(too young yet), I've never bought smokes(it's an awful habit, why bother starting?), & I've never gone to an "R" movie in the theater. I rented "R" movies w/o being carded, though. My grandma is going to be 85 on Pearl Harbor of this year & she got carded a week ago at the Torge's Bar & Grill.
Made her week!

I'll let you guys know in 1 year 6 months 28 days if I get carded when I drink!

Oh me too! He was sexy intense in that movie!

I got carded last year buying a lottery ticket. It was kinda weird as I go there all the time and I think the ladies were just being nosy that day, because there is no way I look younger than 18.

I get carded all the time and I'm 26. I also card anyone who looks to be under 30. It is funny when I card someone who I know is probably older than me. Occasionally someone looks older than they are, and a lot of times they look younger. I've actually had some guy get really mad at me for carding him. He made some snotty remark about how I probably wasn't even old enough to serve him alcohol. I just remarked that I was actually two years older than him!
