Aggressive for attention. Is that normal?

I just took a stray in on Sat. She is very pg...but I don't know how far along. She is over half way, I think.

Anyway, she bit my husband tonight when he tried to leave the room. She is only happy when someone is sitting with her. She hissed at me until I sat down with her. Anyway, I just sat with her for about 20 minutes. If I got up to move at all, she'd get up and run to my side. It's SOOOOOO hard getting out of the room because she wants to follow me! Could she be in labor? She is licking her nipples a lot and they are white at the tips. She still wanted to eat tonight and I haven't seen any mucus plug yet. What do you think?

That is an interesting response...but I would be careful with her since she hasn't seen a vet yet.

Update: Apparently she was in early stage of labor. She had 7 kittens starting at about 2:00am. ANd my husband's hand looks fine. SHe has been doing well with her kittens and us. We have visited her 3 times today and comes out to be pet and lets us look in on the babies. I think the bite was because she was in pain and didn't want him to leave her. And you know, it's entirely possible that my husband was petting her too playfully or something like that. I just know she wanted someone with er last night. As soon as I made a bed on the floor of her room for ME to sleep on, she laid next to me and not even 5 minutes later her water broke.

BTW - I'm so glad you are here Katie. Your responses to everyone are always so helpful, intellegent, kind, and fair.
