Was it bad luck?

This was so strange... We were just picking on a girl here at work because she had an appointment to get her hair cut at 11:00. We told her (her brother-in-law and myself) that her haircut was going to turn out bad because of the whole 6/6/06 thing and that she better wait until tomorrow. Of course we were just kidding, I don't believe any of the talk about it being a bad day... Well she got to the place, and the building was burning! They evacuated the entire strip mall and there were news crews and fire trucks everywhere. I think my coworker and I might have brought bad luck upon them!

That is really strange!!! Is it 6/6/06 today? Shows you much much attention I have been paying!

Although you know I'm not going out today for being a bit freaked out by the date, Tanya, I don't believe in luck, everything happens for a reason. In fact, I would say it's most fortunate that she didn't have her appt set for earlier in the day when she may have been more directly effected by the fire.

I have a feeling that the bad things that happen today are going to be blamed on the date. Bad things happen every day of the year. I'm glad your coworker is safe...that's good luck!

I think its just a coincidence!! I am having a great day!! I actually don't even like the mileage in my car to be on 3 6's in a row!! I know nothing bad will happen cause of it I just don't like it!!

I don't really believe in that stuff.... I believe everything, good or bad, happens for a reason...even though it's not always what we want.

That's silliness Tanya. I use the word luck sometimes, but I don't believe in it. It's just 3 less syllables than coincidence. Nevertheless, don't wish me any bad luck.

I went out today with no problems.

Well, I signed a new 2-year renewal lease today to my "almost perfect" apartment.

It better not be a bad luck.

UPDATE: I just got them to lower the rent for my 1000 sq ft apartment from 435 to 375!!!

And people think today is an unlucky day....
